SALT Interpretation

SALT Interpretation develops ongoing collaborative partnerships with schools and civic organizations. SALT Interpretation’s mission is to ensure that all participants have access to forums for creative and experiential learning, open dialogue, and critical thinking.

Guided and Critical Exhibition Tours

SALT Interpretation offers customized exhibition tours in Turkish and English for high school and university students, and youth groups. Critical exhibition tours offer participants varying perspectives on the presented works and a chance to engage in discussions centered around the exhibition’s themes. Bilingual mp3 audio guides are also available for self-guided visits.

Workshops

Workshops led by artists, architects, and specialists in fields relating to SALT’s current projects construct a research-based and discursive environment for students. SALT Interpretation also aims to contribute to educators’ personal growth and career development through specially designed workshops.

Film Screenings

Screening programs organized for high school students focus on social issues such as migration, human rights and urban transformation.

Educator Open Houses

SALT Interpretation holds regular open houses for teachers and civic organizations twice a year. These informal events aim to provide information about SALT Interpretation, to announce upcoming events and discuss ideas about potential partnerships and collaborative projects.

Collaborative Projects

SALT Interpretation develops unique collaborative projects for students with schools and civic organizations at SALT Beyoğlu and SALT Galata.
