SALT continues to organize parallel events for the exhibition It was a time of conversation which calls for a reevaluation of three exhibitions that took place in the early ‘90s in Turkey. Ali Akay, curator of Globalization-State, Misery, Violence (1995, İstanbul) and Vasıf Kortun, curator of Number Fifty/Memory/Recollection II (1993, İstanbul) will discuss the shifting framework of art in Turkey during the ‘90s. Examining these two exhibitions as well as GAR [Railway Station] (1995, Ankara) based on original documents from the period, It was a time of conversation is on view at SALT Ulus until June 2.

The talk will be held in Turkish.
