SALT Interpretation will organize exhibition critiques during the most comprehensive presentation of Gülsün Karamustafa’s works to date, A Promised Exhibition. Led by a different artist each month, participants will explore Karamustafa’s works, and engage in a discussion centered on the artist’s practice.

Participants are asked to write a critical review on social media sites such as Facebook, blog or a personal website, and share its link on Twitter by adding @SALT_Online to their tweets.

The tours will be held in Turkish, and are limited to 10 participants.

CANAN
After graduating from Marmara University, Fine Arts Faculty, CANAN (İstanbul, 1970) won many awards and participated in residency programs in İstanbul, USA and Germany. Among her solo exhibitions and group shows are Tecrit (KIBLA Multimedia Center, Maribor, 2010); Global Feminism (Brooklyn Museum, New York, 2007); Contre L’Histoire (Centre d’art de Fribourg, Switzerland, 2012) and Behind the Curtains (Festival De Rode Loper, Amsterdam, 2006). CANAN has held two solo shows at x-ist; Even a Cat Has a Mustache (2010) and Turkish Delight (2012) and also participated in the 11th International Istanbul Biennial in 2009.
