OPERATIONS, CONDITIONS, AND SAFETY MEASURES AT SALT

Open for limited access on June 30, SALT venues exercise the following new regulations in respect of public health:

Operations
Access includes digital stations of the Ottoman Bank Museum and SALT Research at SALT Galata; Forum at SALT Beyoğlu, the exhibition spaces and Robinson Crusoe 389 Bookstore in both buildings.

SALT Beyoğlu is open from Tuesday to Friday between 11.00 and 17.00. Maximum 75 people are allowed in spaces accessible by the public.

SALT Galata is open from Tuesday to Friday between 11.00 and 17.00. Maximum 50 people are allowed in spaces accessible by the public.

SALT Research main study hall is open from Tuesday to Friday between 11.00 and 17.00 by appointment only. Conditions and appointment forms are available at saltresearch.org. SALT Research Ferit F. Şahenk Hall services will resume in the future.

Conditions
Guests and staff are required to wear masks and test for body temperature before entry. People with body temperature higher than 37.5 degrees and symptoms including coughing, runny nose, difficulty of breathing will be directed to the nearest healthcare institution.

Guests and staff are required to wear masks, keep their hands sanitized regularly, and maintain a distance of 1.5 meters with others during their visits.

Safety Measures
Accessible / inaccessible spaces, conditions of use, room specific capacity information and safe waiting spots are marked by additional signage throughout the buildings.

All climatization units are adjusted to 100% fresh air circulation and air filters are regularly disinfected.

Surfaces receiving frequent contact are repeatedly disinfected during the day.

Multiple hand sanitization units and disposal bins are stationed across the buildings.

Publications from SALT Research collection are disinfected via ultraviolet light after each use.

Elevators are temporarily out of use except for guests with special needs tended by the SALT staff.
