Osmanbey

Supported as part of the first edition of the Salt Artistic Research and Production Grant Program, in collaboration with the BBVA Foundation, Osmanbey: Social and Spatial Entanglements will be interpreted through urban walks led by the artist Ali Taptık.

The program will address the transformation of Osmanbey from an upper-middle-class residential neighborhood into a textile wholesale district. This shift will be explored through a personal timeline and memory map, drawing on oral histories, poetry, and political narratives. The focus will be on the relationship between the global economy and urban transformation, with particular attention to the role of synthetic materials widely used in contemporary textile and building technologies.

Start: In front of Kenter Theater
End: Bomontiada

This free-admission program will take place on Saturday, May 24 and Saturday, June 14 at 10.30. The walks will be held in Turkish and is limited to 20 participants. Click here to register.
