Tigre v meste [Tigers in the City] (2012)
Director: Juraj Krasnohorský
90 minutes
Slovak; Turkish and English subtitles

Three friends about to turn 30 refer to themselves by animal names: Badger, Hyena and Pigeon. They like to spend time together in their favorite bar in the Bratislava City Zoo, but they all feel that something is missing – they starve for a soulmate for life. When one of them decides to give up his friends and old lifestyle to seduce the woman of his dreams, he sets in motion unpredictable forces of chance and destiny that lead to an inevitable catastrophe.

The comedy Tigre v meste [Tigers in the City] reveals Bratislava from a number of different angles within the city’s landmarks and more recent city centers. The film takes place in the old central European city’s outdoor parks, sports clubs, court rooms, cafes and bars.
