One of the world’s most renowned adventure stories to have been told and retold throughout the centuries, Italian director Francesco Bertolini’s silent film is the first on screen depiction adapted from Homer’s Odyssey in 1911. This classic and historical project was developed for screen in the context of the world’s fair Turin International, and in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Italian Unification.
