Nearly 28 million people attended the World’s Columbian Exposition, a world’s fair held in Chicago in 1893. Against the backdrop of 1893s workers’ rights efforts, prejudice, discrimination and corruption, the World’s Columbian Exposition cast a brief ray of hope for the future of humanity; unveiling of the such inventions as the Ferris Wheel indicative that the 20th century was close. Narrated by Gene Wilder, the documentary (2005) is a vision of one of the largest and most memorable events in world history.
