The Wolfpack (2015)
Director: Crystal Moselle
90 minutes
English; Turkish subtitles
The Wolfpack (2015) is a coming of age story following the six Angulo brothers who have spent their entire lives locked away from society in an apartment on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, New York. All they know of the outside world is reflected from the films they watch obsessively and recreate meticulously, using elaborate homemade props and costumes. For years this has served as a productive and creative outlet as well as a way to stave off loneliness. But their relationship is challenged when one of the brothers escapes, and the others begin to dream of venturing out.
Winner of the Grand Jury Prize at 2015 Sundance Film Festival, director Crystal Moselle coincidentally captures a film of sheltered lives animated through imagination.
SALT Cinema screenings will take place at Çankaya Municipality Contemporary Arts Center (ÇSM). Program is free. Reservations are not accepted.
