Artist Fiona Connor will discuss how art is documented and exists beyond its primary physical form. Initially intrigued by personal experiences of documenting her own installations, she will present a series of records from her exhibitions as well as other artists’ works.
Fiona Connor is an artist based in Los Angeles, and a founding member of Gambia Castle, an artist space in New Zealand. Connor’s artistic approach is rooted in the collaboration of curating, facilitating, and object making. She has exhibited in New York, Barcelona, Basel, Istanbul, Sydney, and Auckland. Her installations were shown in the Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki, The Dowse Art Museum, Te Papa Tongarewa, the Christchurch Art Gallery in New Zealand; and the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles.
