Artist Chris Evans will talk about two artists’ books he edited and illustrated, Magnetic Promenade (Studio Voltaire: 2006) and Job Interviews (Para Site and Uh Books: 2017). Evans will focus on his various projects and works related to both publications including Radical Loyalty (2002-2005), which examines the construction of a sculpture park in Estonia, and Cowlicks (2017), a series of sculptures in the form of transaction windows.
Chris Evans is based in London and Brussels. Evolving through conversations with people from diverse backgrounds, Evans’ works have been included in the Athens Biennial in 2007, Taipei Biennial in 2010, and Liverpool Biennial in 2014. His solo exhibitions were shown at Para Site (Hong Kong), PRAXES Center for Contemporary Art (Berlin), and Project Arts Centre (Dublin).
