Sibel Bülay is the representative of the EMBARQ Turkey program. She worked as a lecturer from 1974-1983 at Middle East Technical University’s Gaziantep campus. Before joining EMBARQ, Bülay worked in product development at Ford Motor Company, Detroit, from 1983-2005. Leading sustainability initiatives, she was involved in Ford’s Unlimited Think Tank, working to integrate systems engineering into the product development process. Bülay holds master’s degrees from the University of Michigan in mechanical engineering and business management, and studied communications at New York University. She works with local governments as Turkey’s EMBARQ representative, advising on decreasing carbon emissions and creating sustainable public transport.

Der’ki is a series of interviews sharing different experiences and observations on architecture and cities.
