The exhibition bauhaus imaginista: Moving Away. Istanbul at SALT Beyoğlu includes an investigation on the pioneering approaches and trends in basic art and design education in Turkey. From 1940s to 1970s, foundational courses taught at Istanbul Technical University, the State School of Applied Fine Arts (Marmara University Fine Arts Faculty), Middle East Technical University and the State Academy of Fine Arts in Istanbul (Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University) are scrutinized through two-week long archive presentations and four workshops.
