Set in the mid-1990s, the film follows twenty street dancers coming together for a three-day rehearsal in an abandoned boarding school located in the middle of a forest. The final night of rehearsals is a success, but the troupe’s celebratory after-party takes a dark turn. A strange madness begins to seize them, sending each of the dancers into agitated, confused, and psychotic states fueled by fear and paranoia. Although it seems obvious that they have been drugged, they neither know by whom nor why.

Climax by Gaspar Noé is part musical, part psychological horror that offers a dizzying cinematic experience with its enthralling scenes shot in long and continuous takes. The film premiered at the 71st Cannes Film Festival in 2018, and was given the Art Cinema Award.

The screening will take place on Thursday, December 1 at 19.00 in Salt Beyoğlu’s Walk-in Cinema.
