It is the year 1940. While the frantic evacuation of Allied troops continues on the beaches of Dunkirk, the Polish submarine ORP “Orzeł” embarks on a dangerous mission in the North Sea, where it will encounter underwater mines, air bombs, and enemy ships. The crew also has to face increasing physical and mental exhaustion, claustrophobia, mistakes, and failures.
Orzel. Ostatni patrol [Below the Surface] recalls the final days of the Polish submarine ORP Orzeł, whose disappearance remains one of the greatest mysteries of World War II, and focuses on the story of its crew.
The screening will take place on Tuesday, November 28 at 19.00 in the Walk-in Cinema.
