A Bengali farmer and his son face the threat of losing their land as they struggle to repay their debts to the landlord. Given three months to settle the debt, the farmer moves to the city to work as a rickshaw-puller, while his son becomes a shoeshiner.

Examining the social and economic rifts in post-colonial India, Do Bigha Zamin [Two Acres of Land] won the International Prize at the 1954 Cannes Film Festival.

The film will be screened in its original language with Turkish subtitles.

In accordance with Article 7 of Law No. 5224 amended on 18.01.2019, films that have not been assessed and classified by the General Directorate of Cinema, Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Republic of Turkey, can only be screened under the classification of 18+ at festivals, special screenings or similar culture and arts events.
