Performance:
Fokurtu [Burbling]
Salt Galata
March 6 – March 7, 2026
Güneş Terkol, 2026
Mastercard Exhibition Hall
Choreographer Filiz Sızanlı and musician Berke Can Özcan join forces for a performance at Salt Galata. Inspired by Güneş Terkol’s exhibition Epipe, Fokurtu [Burbling] interweaves stories and sounds rooted in Tatar culture with objects carried in chests along the migration routes of the Kazan Tatars—from Russia to China and then to Turkey. Activating the space through language, resonance, and gesture, the performance invites participants on a collective journey through a topography formed by the traces of Terkol’s stitching.
Performance Sessions
Friday, March 6, 18.30 / 19.00 / 19.30
Saturday, March 7, 18.30 / 19.00 / 19.30
The program is open to all. Participation is limited to 15 people per session. Click here to register.
Open rehearsals will take place in the exhibition space at Salt Galata on March 3 and March 5, from 15.00 to 18.00.
