Ünver Şahin will present a listening session inspired by Güneş Terkol’s exhibition Epipe, which traces the multi-stage migration of the Kazan Tatars. The program will begin with a brief introduction to Tatar history, followed by a musical set reflecting the migration routes stretching from Russia to China and Turkey. Combining classical and modern pieces with folkloric themes, the selection will unfold in dialogue with a musical memory shaped across different geographies.
The program will take place in the exhibition space and is open to everyone.

Ünver Şahin graduated from the Faculty of Languages, History, and Geography at Ankara University. From 2002 to 2005, he studied Chinese language and culture at Dalian University of Foreign Languages. He worked as a simultaneous interpreter for various companies in China, Taiwan, and Turkey. As a Chinese-speaking tourist guide in Turkey, Şahin gained extensive insight into the interconnections between language, memory, and migration across these regions. His artworks were featured in various solo and group exhibitions between 1985 and 1995.
