Salt is organizing a program with the support of Kalebodur to mark World Architecture Day, observed on the first Monday of October since 1985. Comprising a screening, a panel discussion, and an urban walk, this year’s program focuses on the work and practices of women architects active in the 20th century.
As part of the program, a series of photographs documenting Istanbul University’s Central Library will also be accessible at archives.saltresearch.org. Added to the Salt Research Architecture Archive, the collection features early photographs of the building, which was completed in 1985 and demolished in 2019.
