Salt operates from two separate buildings in Istanbul. Salt Beyoğlu houses exhibition spaces, a walk-in cinema, a kitchen, a winter garden, and Robinson Crusoe 389 Bookstore.

Salt Galata houses exhibition, event and workshop spaces along with Salt Research halls, Ottoman Bank Museum, Robinson Crusoe 389 Bookstore, café and Neolokal.

Entry to Salt and participation in all of the institution's programs are free.
