Ferran Barenblit (b. 1968, Buenos Aires) is the Director of CA2M Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo (Madrid), a museum located in Móstoles in the city’s metropolitan area. CA2M launches an intense program of contemporary art projects, including exhibitions, research initiatives, mediation, academic proposals, publications and a wide range of other activities. Since its opening in 2008, CA2M has presented solo exhibitions by BESTUÉ-VIVES, Leopold Kessler, Cristina Lucas, Guy Ben Ner, Wilfredo Prieto, Gregor Schneider, Aernout Mik and Lara Almarcegui; as well as group shows: Critical Fetishes: residues of the general economy, curated by Helena Chávez, Mariana Botey and Cuauhtémoc Medina; Sonic Youth etc.: Sensational Fix, curated by Roland Groenenboom; and Telling everything without knowing how, curated by Martí Manén.

From 2002-2008, Barenblit was Director of Centre d’Art Santa Mònica in Barcelona. In 2008, he was in the curatorial team of the 7th Site Santa Fe Biennial. Barenblit has taught seminars on curatorial practice and lectured in many museums. Between 2003 and 2010, he was guest professor on the program Curating Contemporary Art, at the Royal College of Art, London.
