SALT Interpretation continues organizing exhibition critiques for college students during the exhibition Hassan Khan. In these events that are led by a different artist each month, participants explore Hassan Khan’s works, as well as getting a chance to discuss the artist’s practice and the exhibition.

To join the third tour led by the artist Mehmet Can Özer, please email your first name/last name, the name of your university and program to yorumlama@saltonline.org.

Participants are expected to write a review on social media sites such as Facebook, blog or personal website, and share the link on Twitter by adding @SALT_Online to their tweets.

The tours will be held in Turkish, and are limited to 15 participants.


Mehmet Can Özer (1981) studied composition in Bilkent University, Conservatoire de Genéve and Zürich HMT respectively. He gave numerous concerts at international festivals and conducted master classes. The first electroacoustic music CD in Turkey Siyah Kalem Dance by Mehmet Can Özer was released in 2009. Sonpozisyonlar was released in Europe under Berlinz Records in 2012. Özer won Halici-Midi, 2003 and 2007 Bourges Electroacoustic Music Competition. In 2006, he was honored with the Goethe Institute Artists Award and also won the SWR Experimental Studio Award in 2008. His compositions are performed throughout the world and he continues to give concerts internationally. In addition to his compositional career, the artist also creates audio/visual installations. Özer is a lecturer at Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatoire.
