Gülsün Karamustafa

SALT Beyoğlu, Walk-in Cinema

On the occasion of the exhibition A Promised Exhibition, Gülsün Karamustafa will talk about her artistic practice from the early 1970s to today. In her talk, Karamustafa will focus on her personal experiences, share anectodes about the reception of her work and explain the process of A Promised Exhibition as a project through key works in the exhibition.

A Promised Exhibition brings together Karamustafa’s works which address itinerant identities through the narratives of displacement, locality, gender and cultural differences. The exhibition is on view at SALT Beyoğlu and SALT Galata from September 10, 2013 until January 5, 2014.

The talk will be held in English.
