Workshop: Tall Buildings

SALT Interpretation invites high school students to participate in architectural design workshops titled “Tall Buildings,” which focus on skyscrapers. During the workshops, which will be led by architect and academician Ali Dur, high school students will design and construct model skyscrapers in different forms.

Students will create water marks using various objects and these will act as the construction patterns for their skyscrapers. Photos of the final projects will be shared on Pinterest. In addition, there will be discussions on architectural design during the workshops.

Ali Dur graduated from İstanbul Technical University, Architecture Department in 2008 and earned his master’s degree in architecture at The Cooper Union. He currently works in İstanbul and New York and teaches at Yeni Yüzyıl University. Dur is the recipient of the first prize of Archiprix Turkey 2008.

The workshops will be held in Turkish and are limited to 20 students.
