Taking a low-fi laboratory approach to the production of ice cream by using the basic ingredients of salt, ice and fresh flavors, gelatatrix-on-wheels and ice cream hunter, Kitty Travers will host a workshop and share ice cream on the weekend of April 16 and 17. Travers’ desire to source local plants, fruits and flowers to flavor ices responds to the first plants and seeds planted in SALT Beyoğlu’s Garden. Her ice creams for this workshop will reflect fresh ingredients found in Istanbul, and may include rose petals, toasted pumpkin seed, fig leaf, candied apricots and sour cherry juice.
