Workshop IV
Salt is hosting a talk and launch of the book Trans•Studio: Via Istanbul / İstanbul Aracılığında (YEM Publishing, 2023). The publication brings together projections on Istanbul, produced in the architectural design studio led by Ayşe Şentürer, Hakan Tüzün Şengün, and Erenalp Büyüktopcu at the Istanbul Technical University Faculty of Architecture between 2013-2015, and a selection of texts focusing on ideas of creativity and innovation. An exemplar of studio books published by leading design studios and architecture schools, Trans•Studio addresses the urban conditions of Istanbul as a laboratory for design, representation, and architectural research.
Edited by Ayşe Şentürer and Erenalp Büyüktopcu, the book will be taken as a point of departure to discuss issues around design, studio, and urban dynamics. The talks will be followed by an open microphone session with the authors, invited speakers, and participants.
This free-admission program will be held (in Turkish) on Friday, December 29 between 17.00-19.00 in Workshop IV at Salt Galata.
