Barış Altan studied architecture and restoration at İstanbul Technical University and has been working with non-governmental organizations for years in the protection of cultural heritage. Since June 2011, he has been involved with İstanbul S.O.S. Movement’s actions against the destruction of İstanbul’s cultural heritage, specifically regarding the area around the Haliç Metro Bridge.
