Salt Research comprises a specialized library, comprehensive archives and online content, providing researchers with access to print publications and digitized archival documents.

Salt Research team contributes to producing research-based exhibitions, publications, blog posts, and web projects, and organizes workshops, talks and conferences on library and archive studies.

At Salt Research spaces, users and researchers can access a collection of over 100,000 print resources on art, architecture, design, city, society, and economy. Salt Research Gregory Michael Kiez Hall on Salt Galata’s ground floor has 90 seats. Those conducting in-depth research may use the 40-seat Salt Research Ferit F. Şahenk Hall on floor -1 with free registration.

Focusing primarily on Turkey, the Eastern Mediterranean, and Eastern Europe, Salt Research archives encompass visual and textual sources on the transformation of society, geography, art, and design from the last century of the Ottoman Empire to present-day Turkey.

archives.saltresearch.org provides online access to more than 2,000,000 documents digitized by Salt Research. Researchers can conduct detailed searches and view materials in Salt Research digital collections.
